General practitioners
Wouter Boswinkel was born and raised in Rotterdam. He is a general practitioner in Hillegersberg-Terbregge since 1992. To pass on his passion for the general practitioner profession to the next generation, he has been a general practitioner trainer since 2010. Wouter previously also worked as a GP with Special Interest with an expertise in the musculoskeletal system, specializing in chronic back pain.
Sharina Smid-Khoenkhoen has worked as a doctor in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Internal Medicine after completing her medical degree. She then followed the General Practice training programme in Rotterdam, which she completed in 2019. In recent years, she has worked at various general practice clinics in and around Rotterdam, and she has been working at our practice since October 2025. Sharina works on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
General practitioner in training
Nicky Teunissen studied medicine in Leiden. After obtaining her medical degree, she worked in the departments of internal medicine and paediatrics. She then started her GP training, as she enjoys being close to patients and society, and she finds the versatility of the profession inspiring. She values personal attention and working together to find suitable solutions.
Practice manager
Ria Doekhie-Biekhram is responsible for the daily organisation and coordination within the practice. She oversees scheduling, supports the team, and optimises workflows to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Ria works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Doctor’s assistants
Carmen Duinkerke started working with us this year. She is a nurse and a doctor’s assistant in training. Carmen works on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Claudette Floranus continues to work at Praktijk Bergse Bos after completing her medical assistant training, and continues to do her work with great pleasure. She previously gained experience as a Personal Health Care Provider in various healthcare institutions. Currently, Claudette works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Shaan Sewgobind has worked in education as a biology teacher for a long time and now works at our practice as a doctor’s assistant. Shaan works on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Carmen, Claudette and Shaan can help you with:

- Blood, urine and pregnancy tests
- ECG’s (electrocardiograms)
- 30-minute and regular blood pressure measurements
- Ear cleaning
- Treatment of warts with liquid nitrogen
- Injections (vaccinations, injectable contraceptive, tetanus, etc.)
- Removal of surgical suture
- Wound care
- Holter monitoring
GP-based nurse specialist (somatics)
GP-based nurse specialists (mental health care)
Heike Klinken has years of experience as a psychologist and psychotherapist. With those qualities, she supports our practice. Heike works in our practice on Friday morning.
Sharon Haast works as a general practice-based nurse specialist (mental health care) and provides support for psychological complaints and mental well-being. Together with you, she looks at what is going on and which type of care best fits your situation. Sharon works on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and offers both in-person and online appointments.
