General practicioners
Wouter Boswinkel was born and raised in Rotterdam. He is a general practicioner in Hillegersberg-Terbregge since 1992. To pass on his passion for the general practicioner profession to the next generation, he has been a general practicioner trainer since 2010. Since 2014, he has also been additionally qualified for expertise in the musculoskeletal system, with a specialization in chronic back pain. As a general practicioner with an additional specialization, he is guest lecturer at the Erasmus MC with the aim of educating general practicioners (in training).
Renske Kuppens studied Medicine in Utrecht and continued to work as a physician in pediatrics after obtaining her physician’s diploma. After that, she did scientific research at the Sophia Kinderziekenhuis and obtained her PhD. Renske has officially become a general practicioner with us in June 2020. Renske usually works on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but is currently on maternity leave until November 1st.
Since 2022, Aysun Kavak has been working with us as a temporary replacement for Renske during her maternity leave. Aysun previously followed her general practicioner’s training at our practice.
Practice manager
Ria Doekhie-Biekhram has been practice manager at Huisartsenpraktijk Bergse Bos for many years. Besides that, she has been training the doctor’s assistants over the last years. Ria is also a vaccination consultant for travel to the tropics. She works in the practice on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Doctor’s assistants
Carmen Duinkerke started working with us this year. She is a nurse and a doctor’s assistant in training. Carmen works on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Shaan Sewgobind has worked in education as a biology teacher for a long time and recently made a career change. In December 2021 she started working for our practice as a doctor’s assistant intern.

- Smears
- Blood, urine and pregnancy tests
- ECG’s (electrocardiograms)
- 24-hour and regular blood pressure measurements
- Ear cleaning
- Treatment of warts with liquid nitrogen
- Injections (vaccinations, injectable contraceptive, tetanus, etc.)
- Removal of surgical suture
- Vaccination advice for travel to the tropics
General practice-based nurse specialist (somatics)
Elleke van Vliet works as a general practice-based nurse specialist in somatics in our practice. She offers support in care tasks related to diabetes, asthma, COPD, CVD-risk management and in elderly care. Elleke has had years of experience working in other general medical practices, amongst others at the Minervaplein and in Blijdorp. Elleke works on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
General practice-based nurse specialists (mental health care)
Iris Wobbes is a social worker and mental health care specialist in social work of origin. Her first experiences were in addiction care and crisis care within the scope of mental health care. Two years later she has further developed into the role of general practice-based nurse specialist in mental health care with general practicioners in and outside of our region. Iris works in our practice on Monday.
Heike Klinken has years of experience as a psychologist and psychotherapist. With those qualities, she supports our practice. Heike works in our practice on Friday morning.

If you have psychological complaints or problems, in many cases they will be able to help. Examples of such complaints/problems are:
- Depression/feeling down/exhaustion/having little energy
- Sleeping problems
- Excessive worrying
- Being stressed out/burnout
- Concentration problems/forgetfulness
- Fear, panic or a tense/agitated feeling
- Relationship problems
- Work-related problems
- Excessive use of tobacco, alcohol or drugs
- Grieving the loss of a child, partner or parent
General practicioner in training
Our practice is also a training practice for general practicioners to be. At this moment, general practicioner in training Stephanie Leeflang is involved in our practice. Stephanie works on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
